Every one knows IE6 sucks and deserves to die in the firey pits of hell. IE7 was a bit better, and after lots of hair pulling and css hacking we were able to get our websites to look pretty much the same across all the major browsers. So when IE8 came out our sites were sure to keep working. Right?...
Nope. Wrong. WTF? Internet Explorer, oh how I hate you. And to rub my face in it just a little bit more you have to throw that compatibility mode button on IE8, just to prove you know you are frakking with me. Clicking that button makes the browser treat the page just like it is being rendered in IE7, but most regular web users won't know that and will think the site is just messed up.
Well FU IE8. I refuse to hack together another css stylesheet just for you. Instead I will put this line of code into the head of all my webpages and forget about you.
